fgfs-atlas software package provides Flight Gear Map Viewer, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fgfs-atlas
fgfs-atlas is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fgfs-atlas package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fgfs-atlas *
You will get with fgfs-atlas package name, version, architecture and description in a table
